ACF Central Coast branch
What is the ACF?
The Australian Conservation Foundation is Australia’s leading non-government, non-profit environment organisation
What are our goals?
Trying to inspire and promote a society which is environmentally aware and responsible. Campaigning to protect, restore and sustain the environment. Urgent actions for preventing decision-making that could have detrimental impacts on the environment. Our Central Coast branch concentrates particularly on such environmental impacts resulting from expansive urban planning, tourist developments and escalation of population growth.

History
Founded in 1989, we had been running Go Green shops in Gosford and the Kincumber Mountain kiosk for many years.
We also initiated the first Green Coast Festivals on Kincumber Mountain, set up the local Jabiluka action group, and supported action groups like CC against Chemicals (Bayer/Kemcon) and Central Coast Airport Action Group, against the expansion of Warnervale Airport that would have had an impact on the surrounding wetlands.
Meetings
The Australian Conservation Foundation Central Coast Branch meets on the third Tuesday of each month at 7pm at the Senior Citizens Centre in Albany St, North Gosford.
